Sharjah has unveiled a brand-new entertainment and leisure destination: Madar at Aljada, which is now officially open to the public. This exciting venue promises to be a game-changer in the emirate’s entertainment scene. Aljada, a major master-planned development spanning over 2.2 square kilometers, marks a bold new chapter in Sharjah’s transformation, with the first completed phase now open.
Madar was launched by HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. It is designed to be a dynamic, family-friendly destination offering a wide variety of entertainment, relaxation, and adventure for visitors of all ages. Whether you’re a local resident or a visitor, Madar provides something for everyone to enjoy.
One of the major attractions at Madar is Zad, an exciting new dining hub catering to food lovers in the UAE. Zad features 18 diverse food and beverage outlets offering a wide range of culinary delights, from well-known brands like Amorino, Chick’nCone, Cracked, Dookies, Dr Pasta, Krush Burger, Retro 7, and more. This vibrant food court is nestled amidst lush greenery, with two beautifully designed zones: a drive-thru area and a social picnic space. As night falls, Zad comes alive, with its illuminated façade and dynamic art installations.
For event-goers, Yourspace provides a versatile venue that includes a fully equipped event hall and an open-air amphitheater. The space can host up to 500 people, making it ideal for large-scale events, conferences, markets, and exhibitions. It’s a community asset that caters to both private hires and public events.

One of the most impressive structures in Madar is the Aljada Discovery Centre, designed by the world-renowned Zaha Hadid Architects. The Discovery Centre also houses an immersive ‘experience room’ with 360-degree VR technology, allowing visitors to explore different aspects of Aljada in a completely interactive environment.
